3 Components for a Vibrant Green Drink to Boost Your Spring Celebrations
Every spring, I get the urge to trade heavier drinks for something bright, green-leaning, and a little playful. This three-ingredient punch is what I reach for when friends swing by. It comes together in minutes, goes down easy, and looks like the season in a glass.
Ingredients
Preparation
- Chill everything first. Put the pineapple juice, vodka, and soda in the fridge for at least a few hours. Starting cold keeps the punch refreshing without relying on lots of ice.
- Build the punch. Pour the pineapple juice and vodka into a large pitcher. Stir gently until combined.
- Add bubbles at the end. Right before you serve, add the lemon-lime soda. Give it one slow stir so you keep that fizz.
- Serve. Fill 4 glasses with ice, pour in the punch, and add lime wheels or pineapple if youโd like.
My tips
A clear pitcher helps show off the color, and itโs best to keep the ice in the glasses instead of the pitcher so the punch doesnโt get diluted as it sits. If you want it to look a little greener without adding anything new, pick a lemon-lime soda with a naturally pale-green tint and pour it into green-tinted glasses. For a smoother sip, stir the pineapple juice and vodka together first and let it sit for 5 minutes before adding the soda, everything blends nicely without losing the sparkle.
Variations
Make it lighter: Swap the lemon-lime soda for club soda and add a squeeze of lime to each glass (still counts as โto tasteโ in my book).
Make it frozen: Blend the pineapple juice with a couple cups of ice until slushy, then stir in the vodka and top each glass with soda.
Make it a batch cocktail for a crowd: Triple the recipe in a punch bowl, and float lime wheels on top right before guests arrive.
